Christmas Writer

Christmas books aren't really their own genre, yet to me they certainly stand out in their own category. When we started out down the path of self publishing, I didn't think of myself as a Christmas Writer. I couldn't have dreamed anything like that either, but like the t-shirts say, "here I am killing it."

I thought the first couple children's Christmas books I wrote were a fluke. After all, The Faceless Nutcracker did start out as sort of a joke. Then the books just kept coming, one Christmas one after another. Now we have so many children's Christmas books ready to be illustrated, that we are set for quite some years to come.

The Clause Rebellion was only one novel, one book, one idea, and one book does not make a Christmas Writer. Then again, once The Clause Rebellion was done, there was still so much left I wanted to tell! From The Clause Rebellion, a whole series was born. We'll be looking forward to Clause Series releases for years to come, but that's not all. I have a few ideas for more Christmas novels waiting to be written.

I've been taking note over the last year just how many Christmas books and ideas I already have, both children's and adult alike. If anyone had told me a few years ago that I would one day become a Christmas Writer, I would have looked at them like they were crazy; however, I think that is exactly what I have become. Sure, we still make other books, but Christmas is a special time of the year. It holds a special meaning, and will always hold a very special place in my heart. I hope we all enjoy Christmas for so many years to come, both the true meaning as well as the fun fantasy parts as well.
