Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone's Christmas has been as merry as mine. It is so great to take a little time off to get together with family and friends as we celebrate the miracle of Jesus Christ. From his miracle birth, to the miracles he preformed in life, to the miracle of his death and resurrection, there has never been a greater miracle.
Happy New Year too! As 2017 comes to an end, we look forward to 2018. Most of us will be planning our new year's resolutions, but how many of us will make a new year's resolution to help someone else?
In 2018, let's make a resolution to read more to our children! The more we read to children, the better off they'll be. Being read to is such an important and vital pre-reading skill, and it's never too early. Read to your infant. Read to your toddler. Read to your preschooler as often and as much as you can.
A love of reading starts from a very young age! If you want your child to love reading, then you have to read to them. If you want your child to have a love of reading that you never had, read to them!
Parents, teachers, caregivers, READ! It is such a simple thing that can make a lasting impact on a child's life. Teach them now to love reading, and later, you'll be so glad that you did!
If you teach a child to read today, tomorrow they can accomplish anything!
